Arsenal have been offered a boost in their pursuit of Leicester City star Youri Tielemans and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Gunners currently sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League, but are looking to bolster their squad this January in their pursuit of the title.
Earlier this month, 21-year-old Mudryk told Gunners star and Ukraine teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko’s wife told he’d need to ‘hear directly from Mikel Arteta what he envisages his role to be in his side’.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are still interested in Tielemans – whose contract at the King Power Stadium ends next summer – despite not getting him in the summer due to concerns over his physicality.
Now, CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has stated the pair both have their focus set on a move to the Emirates.
“Newcastle are very much not the frontrunners for Mudryk, who has got his heart set on Arsenal, a bit like Tielemans has got his heart set on Arsenal.” he said.
“But, with both Tielemans and Mudryk, Arsenal simply haven’t bid at this point.”
According to The Athletic, Mudryk’s price tag has risen to £86million and he has gained interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United.

The Magpies aren’t the only other interested party though, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain keen while Everton, Brentford and Bayer Leverkusen made approaches in the summer.
The youngster has scored 10 goals in 18 appearances in Ukraine this season and also has eight caps for his country.
Meanwhile, earlier this month reports suggested the Gunners are ready to make a move for Tielemans this January.
It’s been a rocky season for Leicester, but the Belgian has netted three goals from midfield this season so far.
