Brazil stars – and boss Tite – had their dancing shoes on as they put in an electric display in a 4-1 victory over South Korea to book their World Cup quarter-final place.
The Samba Stars looked well up the challenge from the very first whistle and took just seven minutes to take the lead as some fine footwork from Raphinha saw him cut the ball back to Vinicius Jr.
The Real Madrid starlet took a touch to poise himself before clipping a wonderful effort over the goalkeeper, before breaking out his samba style as he joined Neymar, Raphinha and Lucas Paqueta in a perfectly choreographed dance routine in front of their supporters.
Things then got even better for Brazil when Richarlison was brought down in the penalty area, leading to a spot-kick just five minutes later.
Neymar, the man who returned to Brazil’s starting XI for the clash following an injury, converted a cheeky penalty to put the World Cup favourites 2-0 up.
He wheeled off in celebration, before standing in the middle of a circle while his Brazil teammates jumped and danced around him.
On Neymar’s penalty, Dean Ashton said on commentary for talkSPORT: “The absolute disrespect of a goalkeeper from Neymar!”
“He takes his time, he staggers, he waits and waits, waits till the goalkeeper is almost on his backside and then rolls it into the other corner. How cool was that?”

But Richarlison’s goal to put Brazil 3-0 up was something to behold, the move beginning with the Tottenham forward juggling the ball on his head before some devastating passing football saw him played through on goal for him to slot home.
Not only was Brazil boss Tite impressed with the goal, the 61-year-old was also roped into the celebrations with Richarlison and the Brazil bench as party fever took over.
And Tite’s men were 4-0 up inside just 35 minutes as Paqueta slotted a delightful cross from Vinicius Jr home on the volley to all-but seal the tie.
South Korea rallied somewhat in the second half and did grab a consolation goal, but it was a night that belonged firmly to Brazil and their dancing shoes.
Brazil’s celebrations drew criticism from the likes of Roy Keane and talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham asked whether such celebrations could be seen as disrespectful.
Ashton responded: “You’re so grumpy. It’s the World Cup!
“Scoring a goal in the World Cup and what it means to players. Brazilians down the years have loved the celebration side of it.
“Players like Bebeto, I always picture them running to the bench and just jumping into a sea of yellow and green tracksuits, that’s what they’ve always done.
“I don’t mind it. Scoring a goal is a beautiful thing, let them have a dance, celebrate and enjoy themselves.”
