Wolves are leading the chase to sign Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid.
The Brazilian forward joined the Spanish giants in 2021 from Hertha Berlin but has struggled to really make his mark after scoring just seven goals in 54 games.
As a result a move away from Atletico looks to be on the cards with a January departure a distinct possibility.
According to Relevo, Wolves are looking for a forward due to their struggles in front of goal after netting just eight goals in 15 matches so far this term.
That is partially down to the lack of form from current attacking duo Diego Costa and Raul Jiminez who have struggled to get going this term,
Wolves face competition, however, with Aston Villa, Leeds and Everton also said to be chasing his signature.
This isn’t the first time that Cunha has been linked with a move to England however.
Manchester United were close to signing the 23-year-old for a fee of £42million over the summer.

That move failed to materialise, with Cunha since failing to score in his 17 appearances for Atletico this term.
With the Brazil international clearly keen to kickstart his career once again, it seems that a move could be on the cards sooner rather than later.
